Geopolitics have been noisy to start 2026 and could continue to produce headline risk, but financial markets continue to fade geopolitical shocks unless they become policy-driven.

Earnings remain supportive: Q4 results and forward EPS estimates point to continued growth, led by technology. Economic fundamentals will be critical to corporate earnings in 2026.

The Fed has room to be patient: Cooling job growth and sticky inflation keep cuts on the table for 2026, but argue against aggressive easing.

In Episode 22 of our podcast "Advisor Edge: The GVA Way," James J. Spinelli, ChFC, sits down with Hannah Ellis from Jump AI to discuss how their partnership is redefining advisor efficiency through artificial intelligence. Together, they break down how tools like Jump help advisors scale their practices, strengthen client trust, and elevate overall practice management in an increasingly tech-driven landscape.

AI-powered efficiency and compliance: Jump reduces administrative burden with integrated prep, automated note-taking, and structured follow-ups-improving accuracy, documentation, and compliance oversight.

Enhanced client relationships and growth: By capturing key personal details and meeting signals, Jump helps advisors deepen client engagement and drive substantial increases in net new assets.

Evolving capabilities for scaling practices: Emerging features such as expanded integrations, insights, and workflow automation aim to help advisors grow and scale while keeping the human advisor at the center of the process.

Check out the highlights from the Great Valley Advisor Group Annual Advisor Conference at Hotel Emeline in Charleston, SC!

James J. Spinelli, ChFC® kicked things off with an inspiring welcome and vision for growth. Kaela Frenchman, Nicholas Murphy, and Evan Coffey joined James on stage to facilitate our Tech Partner Panel. GVA shared how each tech partner – YCharts, RISR, Holistiplan, Venrollment, Jump - Advisor AI – works best with the GVA Tech Stack to support our advisors’ practices. We heard powerful insights from Brian Gallary (First Trust) on engaging COIs, prospects, and clients. David Braun (PIMCO) with a sharp look at today’s macro and fixed income landscape. Day 1 wrapped with an inspiring keynote from Stephanie Bogan (Limitless Advisor Coaching) on breaking through the five barriers to organic growth.

After wrapping up last night with a historic ghost tour of Charleston and an EAGLES WIN, our team woke up with spirits high and ready for another great day together. We began Day 2 by taking a moment to honor and thank our Veterans in attendance — Jonathan Childs, Jared Krog, and Ricardo Ferreira. Your service and dedication to our country inspire us all, and we’re deeply grateful to you, and to all of our brave service members.

Building on yesterday today touched on other meaningful topics, and again provided opportunity for connection between advisors, our partners, and GVA team members alike.

Highlights included:

 - Amy Foland (Moroz) and John Speer (J.P. Morgan Asset Management) discussing the custom partnership JPMorgan and the GVA Asset Management team have developed together.
 - Eric Hough (Great Valley Advisor Group) joined Brian Boulerice and Marshall Birkins (Future Standard) to discuss how to best leverage and implement private market strategies – specifically in an effort to attract HNW and business owners.
 - Michael Arone (State Street) had joined us at the 2023 AAC in Nashville, and we were thrilled to have him return this year to again engage in a “Fireside Chat” with Eric Parnell, CFA (GVA) – always a fan favorite!
 - We were thrilled to have Federated Hermes join us for the first time, we learned more about the support and programs available. Thanks to Justin Slomkowski and Chris Davis for sharing more about the support available and programs offered – we look forward to building on our budding partnership
 - A big thanks to Victory Capital and Kati Livingston (Founding Coach of KLivingston Collaborative), had us changing gears a bit, providing a peek into how the brain works. In explaining how brains differ and have varying strengths, she also explained how these various strengths can work together, specifically in business and client-relationship scenarios.

We ended the conference with a heartfelt Farewell Reception — parting ways for now, but carrying forward the energy, ideas, and connections that will bring us together again soon. Thank you to our 2025 Annual Sponsors for their continued partnership and generous support: Federated Hermes, First Trust, Future Standard, JP Morgan Asset Management, PIMCO, State Street Investment Management, and Victory Capital. We’d also like to thank our tech partners who joined us in Charleston: YCharts, RISR, Holistiplan, Venrollment, and Jump - Advisor AI. We appreciate you!

In Episode 21 of our podcast “Advisor Edge: The GVA Way,” James J. Spinelli, ChFC®, sits down with Paul Jervey, Founder and CEO of Jervey Genesis Solutions for a discussion on launching his own independent advisory practice with GVA. Paul shares how independence allowed him to build his brand, implement robust technology, and deliver deeper tax and financial planning value to clients.

Key Takeaways:
Independence & Growth: Paul’s transition to GVA enabled him to build his business his way, resulting in a seven-figure advisory practice centered on efficiency, transparency, and client value.
Tech-Driven Value: A comprehensive tech stack—featuring tools like Holistiplan, Orion, Salesforce, and Schwab—supports advanced tax planning, portfolio management, and scalable client service.
GVA Partnership Impact: GVA’s flexibility, support, and commitment to advisor autonomy empowered Paul to create his own brand, implement new ideas, and deliver a higher level of service to his clients.
Advisor Edge: The GVA Way - Episode 21
On a special edition of Market Insights, Eric and Evan sat down at the Emeline Hotel in Charleston, South Carolina during Great Valley Advisor Group’s Annual Advisor Conference.

Government Shutdown Nears End: Senators reached a bipartisan deal to reopen the government after a 41-day shutdown, though the economic and social impacts, including lost output and delayed federal data, will linger.

Fed Decision Uncertainty: The upcoming December 10 Fed meeting still carries a high probability of another 25-bps rate cut, but missing economic data from the shutdown could complicate the decision-making process.

AI Trade Pullback: Major AI-related stocks slid in value last week amid profit-taking and concerns over rising, debt-financed capex, but subsequently rebounded this week on news of the U.S. government reopening.
